CFL Economics

This design tool allows the lifetime economics of compact fluorescent lamps and incandescent lamps to be compared. The purpose of the tool is to determine, among other things, at what point in time the lower operating cost of a more energy-efficient lamp offsets its typically higher purchase price. The tool is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, and must be downloaded to run on your computer. Please read the important notes page before using this tool.

Use the following link to download the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to your computer. It should download automatically and open in Excel, but you may need to tell your browser where to save the file.
